Mental discipline is an advantage everywhere.

Those with a mental edge tend to achieve greater success across various aspects of their lives — be it athletics, business, academics, relationships, or beyond.

But how much time do you dedicate to developing your mental skills?

When asked about the value of the mental side of a sport or skill, most agree it’s significant. Many would even estimate that mentality accounts for at least 50% of performance. While they recognize the importance of mental mastery, these same people often admit they devote less than 50% of their time, effort, and resources toward mental training. Why is that?

Mental training is intangible — you cannot touch it.

You can grab a weight at the gym and feel the ache of sore muscles. You can buy a new bow, gun, or golf club. You can hire new employees and sign up for more skills training and development classes. But mental discipline can’t be obtained in the same manner.

It seems much easier to check off tangible tasks than to develop and strengthen your mind.

The obstacle to mental discipline isn’t a shortage of information. There are countless valuable insights on mental discipline available today. The true challenge lies in discovering how to effectively apply this training in a way that suits you personally.

The core mission of Mental Advantage Performance Coaching is to turn mental training into something concrete and actionable.

Become a winner.

The basis of my knowledge is inspired from Lanny Bassham’s book, With Winning in Mind. Over several years, I have taken Bassham’s most important concepts and developed strategies for implementing them, turning an intangible skill into something measurable.

Mental Advantage Performance Coaching is the culmination of this project. Mental training is a journey, not a destination, and MAPC was created to help others navigate this mission.

My approach consists of five stages:

The approach is simple.

But that doesn't mean it's easy...
